Volunteer in Argentina
Volunteer in Buenos Aires
Our volunteer program in Buenos Aires allows our Spanish students to live and work in Buenos Aires while learning Spanish in real life situations and experience the Argentine culture. There are many different volunteer opportunities to choose from. By volunteering you are able to experience the rich and beautiful culture of the country while supporting the local community.
Volunteer projects in Buenos Aires
AMAUTA-Elebaires partners with various local charity projects in Buenos Aires that aim to meet the economic and social needs of the local people. As a volunteer, you are able to choose the field and give a preference for a specific charity project. Possible fields are education, social work, medical, cultural work, tourism, journalism, ecological work. Possible projects include (primary or secondary) schools, shelters, Kindergarten, soup kitchens, community centers, nursing homes, hospitals and orphanages.
Most volunteers start the program with a four weeks Spanish course, followed by a period of the volunteer work. The duration of volunteer work may depend on the charity project as well as on your own availability; however, most projects require a minimum commitment of four weeks. In most case no special skills are required; you only have to be motivated to help others in need as well as have (some) knowledge of the Spanish language.
The standard Volunteer program in Buenos Aires includes
- A Four week Spanish course.
- Accommodation: student residence or student flat (no meals) or host family (2 meals).
- Participation in the cultural activities of AMAUTA-Elebaires.
- Free usage of the Wi-Fi at school.

While contacting the charity project, we take into account your level of Spanish, your availability, previous experiences, personal goals and the needs of the volunteer project.
Support to the volunteer projects by AMAUTA-Elebaires
All volunteer placements include a volunteer fee. This will be used to support the projects. How the money is used may depend on the current needs of the charity project: food, finance repairs of their facilities, purchase supplies or educational materials and so on.
