1. General Conditions
These terms and the conditions apply to all students of AMAUTA-Elebaires and apply from the moment the student receives and accepts the booking confirmation from the AMAUTA-Elebaires booking department.
AMAUTA-Elebaires provides Spanish courses to students with trained and professional teachers. AMAUTA-Elebaires also offers extra-curricular services, such as excursions, volunteer programs and other activities as well as different accommodation options.
AMAUTA-Elebaires cannot be held responsable for loss, injury or damage to property or persons. AMAUTA-Elebaires is not liable for any damage resulting from or in compensation of incorrect information received at the moment of bookig.
4. Client documents and insurance
The student is responsible for the required travel documents (passport, visa, etc.), as well as for a medical and travel insurance. Any resulting damages and/or any non-compliance are the sole responsibility of the student and not of AMAUTA-Elebaires.
5. Changes to the booking
AMAUTA-Elebaires has the right to charge an administration fee of 65 USD for changes in the booking (either Spanish language course, internship, volunteer program and/or accommodation) every time the program is postponed or changed after the student has received and has accepted the (first) booking confirmation.
6. Changes once the program has started
It is not allowed to substitute one service ( language courses, internships, volunteer programs, accommodation and/or other services), by another one. The requested "changes" will be dealt with as if it were cancelations. For other cancellations, see 7. All contracted services are personal and non-transferrable to others.
If a cancellation is made equal to or prior to 15 days to arrival, the student will receive a refund of 80% of the total amount of the invoice. If a cancellation is made equal to or prior to 10 days to arrival, the student will receive a refund of 50% of the total amount of the invoice. If a cancellation is made in less than 10 days before arrival, the student will receive a refund of 25% of the invoice.
No refunds are granted once the program has started (not for the Spanish course, nor for internship, volunteer program, accommodation or any other item booked).
In case if illness or late arrival: group lessons cannot be cancelled and cannot be recuperated. Private classes can be recuperated but only if the classes were cancelled with 24 hour notice. If a student cancels with less than 24 hours notice, he/she will still be charged for the lesson and/or can not recuperate the class without an additional pay.
Changes to the accommodation
If a student wants to change or cancel the accommodation booked by AMAUTA-Elebaires that meets the set requirements, no refunds will be given.
8. Cancellation due to causes out of AMAUTA-Elebaires’ control
AMAUTA-Elebaires is not liable for failure to comply the obligations and agreements (and thus shall not be required to pay any kind of compensation) if the failures are beyond AMAUTA-Elebaires’ reasonable control; neither shall AMAUTA-Elebaires be held responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the student as a result of such case. Causes include, but are not limited to, flood, fire, riots, war, unusually adverse weather conditions, organised labour stoppage and national strikes, embargo, acts of terrorism, acts of civil or military authorities, pandemics, etc.
Spanish Courses and other services must be fully paid before the program starts. The student is responsible for paying the entire program of planned classes before the first day of the program. Payments can be made by credit card (Visa), via PayPal or via a bank transfer before the program starts. In exceptional cases and only if specifically agreed upon, the fees can be paid on the first day of class in USD Cash dollars.
AMAUTA-Elebaires will remain closed on Argentine public holidays. it is the responsibility of the student to see if there are any public Holidays during his/her stay in Argentina. AMAUTA-Elebaires will do all possible efforts to recuperate the classes of public holidays and/or replace them by another activity.
If a student wishes to submit a formal complaint, he/she must be sure to bring this to the attention of the AMAUTA-Elebaires staff before his/her program ends.
12. Filming and photography
AMAUTA-Elebaires is allowed to take promotional video and photographic footage of all students. If a student wishes to not participate in such acts, AMAUTA-Elebaires will respect his/her wishes.
13. Code of conduct and expulsion
Students are expected to act in a respectful manner towards teachers, fellow students, staff and other people who are directly or not directly involved with the school (including accommodation hosts and/or guides). If a student breaches the basic code of conduct, AMAUTA-Elebaires reserves the right to expel the students from the accommodation and/or the program. In that case no refund will be granted. In case a student causes any damage to property of AMAUTA-Elebaires, the student must pay the full cost. A student is expected to adapt to the customs and rules of their host family and the host country Argentina.
