If you think about doing volunteer work in Peru (or Argentina), please note we offer a special Buenos Aires – Cusco combo program: take your Spanish lessons in Buenos Aires and volunteer work in Cusco (or the other way around).
AMAUTA Cusco is located in the heart of the city of Cusco, at only five minutes from the main square, the Plaza de Armas. The building hosts the school, the student residence and an in-house travel agency that makes arrangements for tours and trips for the Spanish students for a good price.
Cusco is a great location to learn Spanish. The former capital of the Inca Empire is a beautiful and popular destination and offers many activities for after the Spanish lessons. AMAUTA offers different cultural workshops such as salsa dancing, Peruvian cooking, salsa dancing. We also take our students to explore the city: visit the many Inca Walls, Colonial buildings, artesan markets, ruins, and museums. During the weekends you can participate in adventure tours such as river rafting, mountain biking, Via Ferrata, horseback riding - just to mention a few. Enjoy the amazing scenery of the surroundings of Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Of course a visit to Machu Picchu is a must for all Spanish students in Peru. You can choose between a one or two day train tour and a 4 day trek: you can do the Inca Trail or (when the Inca Trail is fully booked), the Salkantay Trek or the Inca Jungle Trek.
