Why would you choose Buenos Aires as a destination for your Spanish studies? Reasons galore; Buenos Aires, the Argentina Capital, is unforgettable. It is a European looking city with a Latin American twist. It is exciting, alive, diverse and beautiful. It is the birth place of tango, it is full of football fans, museums, cultural venues and street art; besides that, the city has an impressive offer of nice restaurants and an amazing nightlife.

Studying Spanish in Buenos Aires, you will never be bored. The city itself offers many (cultural) activities and during the weekends you can easily leave the city and explore the nearby surroundings of Buenos Aires (Tigre, San Antonio de Arreco) or other parts of Argentina. Popular weekend trips for students are the wine region of Mendoza and the famous Iguazu waterfalls. Another option for a one or two day trip is the charming town of Colonia in Uruguay, only an hour and a half away from Buenos Aires.

The climate in Buenos Aires is mild throughout the year, with a hot and humid summer in January and February. Even in winter, temperature never drops too much and both spring and autumn are beautiful and friendly.
